ASIA will forward the adoptive families' home studies to the Taiwan agency with whom we work.
The Taiwan agency will accept home studies in chronological order, including those from other agencies.
The Taiwan agency will translate home studies into Traditional Chinese.
The Taiwan agency will then internally review the home study. After passing agency review, it qualifies for matching.
When there is a new child's referral available, the agency will present the next home study in chronological order to the guardian or parent.
If the adoptive family is not accepted by the guardian or birth parent, the agency will present the next adoptive family. This first family will become the next priority to be matched.
The Taiwan agency will advise ASIA when the guardian or birth parent's consent is received. It will then provide the child's medical report, family background, birth certificate and photos (referral) for the adoptive family's consideration.
