This fee schedule applies only to NON Oregon or Washington residents who are first time clients with ASIA AND want to pursue a non special needs child.

Travel Fees

Miscellaneous Legal Fees in Taiwan: includes immigration visa medical examination, photos and immigrant visa. Est. $500 At time of service in Taiwan during adoption trip. Total Cost for NON Oregon or Washington Resident-

First non special needs adoption with ASIA: $25,430-$26,850 plus home study expenses

PLEASE NOTE: The orphanage fee, the fee charged by the Taiwan agency and the miscellaneous legal fees in Taiwan are established by current Taiwanese adoption policies and U.S. immigration regulations.

Miscellaneous Expenses

It is important to note that there are other miscellaneous expenses you should anticipate during the entire adoption process. These expenses include, but are not limited to: fees to obtain original or certified copies of various legal documents, medical examinations for adoption applicants, passports and Taiwan entry visas for adoptive parents, unanticipated medical costs for the adopted child, travel expenses of the adopted child, insurance, re-finalization of the adoption in your home state, phone calls, postage, taxes, etc.

Taiwan's Refund Policy:
The following is Taiwan's refund policy:

If Adoptive parents withdraw:

  • Immediately after referral accepted- $1500 non-refundable for healthy child adoption
    $1000 non-refundable for special needs or older adoption
  • Immediately after dossier sent- $3500 non-refundable for healthy child adoption
    $2000 non-refundable for special needs or older adoption

  • During the court procedure- $6500 non-refundable for healthy child adoption
    $3500 non-refundable for special needs or older adoption

If Birth parents/guardians withdraw after referral is accepted or during the court procedure, the adoptive parents will be matched with another child. If the adoptive parents reject three referrals, it will be treated as a withdrawal. The payment due is based on adoptive parents' current stage. If adoptive parents decide not to be matched with another child, $2500 is non-refundable for healthy child adoption and $1500 is non-refundable for special needs or older adoption.

ASIA's Refund Policy:
All fees are billed for each portion of the adoption service provided by ASIA and are non-refundable.

ASIA's Policy Regarding Returned or Dishonored Checks:
ASIA charges $20 for each dishonored or returned check or payment made to ASIA by adopting parents.
