Why adopt from China?
  • Many abandoned or orphaned children, primarily infant girls, are available for adoption.Min Min
  • The children are, on average, healthier than those being adopted from some other countries.
  • The adoption is fully protected by China Adoption Law. Being abandoned or orphaned, the children have been declared legally free for international adoption.
  • The adoption process is well established and fairly efficient.
  • The adoption costs are fairly stable. All major fees are known to adoptive families beforehand.
  • Adoptions are normally finalized in China. Only one trip to China is needed to legalize the adoption and bring the adopted child home. The whole trip is arranged in advance and escorted to ensure that it is an enjoyable experience.
  • Adoptive parents experience the magnificent culture and people of their adopted children.
  • Many support groups, articles, books and other resources are available for families who are either adopting or have adopted children from China.
  • Since the U.S. started tracking adoptions from China in 1992, approximately 63,000 children have found their permanent home here in the U.S.
