• Submit the "Application for Adoption from China"(.pdf) to ASIA
• Fill out the Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition (I-800A)
• Complete an adoptive home study
• Send I-800A and home study to CIS with supporting documents
• Collect dossier documents
• Authenticate all certified or notarized dossier documents
• Compile and file dossier with the CCAA
• Receive initial approval and referral of a child from the CCAA
• Accept child's referral
• Receive travel approval issued by the CCAA
• Travel to China to legalize the adoption
• Refinalize the adoption in the U.S.
• Obtain proof of the child's U.S. citizenship
• Complete post-adoption visits and reports
