Pre-Adoption
  • Consult on adoption regulations and policies
  • Analyze requirements and procedures
  • Individual informational meetings
  • Publish newsletters and program updates
  • Conduct home studies for Oregon and Washington residents
  • Network with agencies and social workers in other states to complete home studies for families outside of Oregon and Washington

 

 
Adoption Coordination
  • Assist families with collection of the dossier documents
  • Authenticate the documents (additional fees apply)
  • Review and compile adoption dossiers
  • Submit dossiers to China and Taiwan for translation, review, approval and referral of a child
  • Monitor the in-country review process and work directly with officials toward the approval of dossiers and the referral of children
  • Translate and provide information on the children referred to families
  • Help families assess the information on the children and provide counseling if necessary
  • Work with country officials toward the final approval of the applicant families
  • Consult on international flight and lodging arrangements
  • Arrange accommodations and transportation for families' in-country visits
  • Escort families throughout the entire trip and coordinate the process to legalize the adoption
 
Education

  • Provide pre-adoption education classes
  • Hold seminars on parenting and child care issues
  • Offer cultural resources and host cultural events

 

 
Post-Adoption
  • Provide post-adoption counseling and conduct post-adoption home studies for Oregon and Washington residents
  • Network with agencies and social workers in other states to provide post-adoption studies for families outside of Oregon and Washington
  • Assist with readoption and naturalization matters
 
Home Study Services
  • Provide Oregon and Washington home study services if you are adopting from a country other than China or Taiwan
  • Provide home study services if you are using an agency outside of Oregon or Washington
  • Provide home study addendums, updates and post-adoption reports
